Half hoops are used on Ascent™ safety ladders to protect the user from adjacent fall hazards, for instance when a ladder is located on an upper landing adjacent stairs, or when a ladder is located next to guardrail protecting a fall from a roof top.
The Ascent™ half hoops extend below the lower full hoop and are typically formed from 3 spines & associated half hoops & can extend to the ground level if required. They are designed to ensure that no void within the ladder hoops exceeds 0.4m2
The Ascent™ hooped safety ladders are manufactured under 1090 factory production control procedures allowing CE certification of the product. The ladder can be supplied in either Mild steel galvanised or Aluminium. The Ascent™ ladders are designed in accordance with BS EN ISO 14122-4:2016.
All our products are manufactured in accordance with BS EN ISO 3834-2:2021 and BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 and carry the CE / UKCA Marking.
