Multi-Level

As a companionway ladder can only extend to 3m in a single flight (under BS EN ISO 14122-3:2016) in some instances, there is the requirement to create a multi-level companionway ladder.

The multi-level companionway is achieved by introducing an appropriately sized mid-height platform into the ladder. The platform is supplied with handrails to both sides and creates a safe, user-friendly access solution to work areas which are more than 3m above ground level.

The Ascent™ companionway ladder is manufactured under 1090 factory production control procedures allowing CE certification of the product. The ladder can be supplied in either Mild steel galvanised or Aluminium. The Ascent™ Companionway ladders are designed in accordance with BS EN ISO 14122-3:2106
