Aluminium Walkway Steps

The Ascent™ Walkway Step are designed to provide safe access up and down sloping roofs. Featuring a free-draining, anti-slip tread surface, the system provides a secure walking route while helping to protect the roof surface from damage caused by regular foot traffic.

Engineered as part of the Ascent™ Walkway System, the steps can be configured to suit a wide range of roof types and gradients. By creating a defined access route across the roof, the system helps protect both users and the roofing material, reducing unnecessary wear and helping to prolong the lifespan of the roof.

The Ascent™ Walkway Step System is approved for use with the Kalzip standing seam roofing system. It is manufactured in accordance with applicable CE marking requirements and tested to BS EN 516:2006 Class 1 Type C and BS EN ISO 14122-2 and BS EN ISO 14122-3:2016.

Ascent™ aluminium Walkway Steps are suitable for a wide range of roof types, including metal profile, composite and built-up roofing systems, as well as slate and tile roofs. They can also be installed on bulb-type and traditional standing seam roofs, including lead and zinc roofing systems.

Where additional edge protection is required, handrails can be fitted to one or both sides of the walkway, with or without toe boards, depending on the application and site requirements.
