Ascent™ aluminium walkways are designed to create a safe, anti-slip walking surface across flat and low-pitched roofs. The system provides a clearly defined access route while helping to protect both users and the roof covering from damage caused by regular foot traffic.
Engineered as a versatile modular system, the Ascent™ walkway can be installed on a wide range of flat and single-ply membrane roof types.
The walkway is manufactured in accordance with applicable CE marking requirements and tested to BS EN 516:2006 Class 1 Type C, BS EN ISO 14122-2 and BS EN ISO 14122-3:2016.
In addition to single-ply membrane roofing systems, the Ascent™ walkway can be used on traditional flat and low-pitched roofs, including lead and zinc roofing. By creating a designated walking route, the system helps reduce unnecessary foot traffic and associated damage to the roof covering, helping to prolong its service life.
The Ascent™ walkway is supported on a range of proprietary recycled rubber support feet. These distribute the walkway load across the roof surface and are designed to maintain the integrity of the roof covering without penetrating the waterproofing membrane.
Where additional edge protection is required, the walkway can be supplied with an integral aluminium handrail system fitted to one or both sides. Toe boards can also be incorporated where required.
The modular handrail system integrates with the Ascent™ walkway to provide a complete roof access and edge protection solution tailored to the roof layout and site requirements.
All our products are manufactured in accordance with BS EN ISO 3834-2:2021 and BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 and carry the CE / UKCA Marking.
