Uppingham School

Uppingham School

For many years Safety Fabrications have only supplied ladders which go up. This was soon to change when Eurosafe’s Inspection engineers identified the need to create safe access into an inspection chamber on the Uppingham School site.

Uppingham School is a public school in Uppingham, Rutland, England, founded in 1584 by Robert Johnson, the Archdeacon of Leicester, who also established Oakham School, also in Rutland.

The Ascent ladder we developed to provide access to this manhole is designed in accordance with BS EN 14396-2004 Fixed ladders for manholes. The ladder was installed by Eurosafe engineers to the masonry of the chamber.

The ladder was manufactured at our Sheffield premises to CE / UKCA standards in accordance with BS EN 1090 manufacturing procedures.
