An Ascent™ Fixed Access Ladder with 1m platform at the top was specified to cover an unappealing plant rooftop.
The Challenge:
The design of their building incorporated a raised parapet.
A raised parapet is a simple and clean way to hide equipment.
It does, however, raise the wall height of the building, making ladder access difficult.
The Solution:
Safety Fabrications solved this issue with the design of their Ascent™ Ladders with 1m platform.
The Ascent™ Fixed Access Ladder ascended the building’s face, while the platform provided safe access over the parapet.
Ascent™ Fixed Access Ladders, which can be supplied with a safety cage, platform and handrail, are designed to the BS EN 14122-4:2016 standard and can be tailored to fit a variety of building types.
Where heights surpass 10m, intermediate rest platforms can be installed, and other safety features, including as anti-climb covers, self-closing gates, and ladder-up posts, can be introduced to satisfy site requirements.
The height safety contractor installed the ladder in accordance with the full install guidelines provided.
Ascent™ Fixed Access Ladders are designed and tested in accordance with BS EN 14122-4:2016 and manufactured to CE / UKCA standards in compliance with BS EN 1090 manufacturing procedures at our Sheffield facility.
