Here at Safety Fabrications we’re always on the lookout for news that’s relevant and useful for our readers.  In the past we’ve told you about how beneficial it can be to both your business and your career to attend industry events like trade shows, conferences, symposiums, etc.   Today, we’re going to take a look at some of the industry events that are coming up over the next few months so that you don’t miss out on the opportunity to attend.

Off-Site Construction Show – this will be held at London’s ExCel on October 12th and 13th 2016.  Exhibitors will represent every section of the UK’s building, construction, design and engineering community in this first ever national Offsite exhibition.

The 2016 AIF Working at Height Conference takes place on October 13th, 2016 at Holywell Park Conference Centre at Loughborough University.  For more information on the AIF (Access Industry Forum) , see our current article titled “The Access Industry Forum – What’s it all About?”.

UKL Construction Week 2016 takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from 18th – 20th October, 2016.  This major event combines the following shows:

  • Build Show
  • Timber Expo
  • Surface and Materials Show
  • Kitchens and Bathrooms Live
  • Grand Designs Live,
  • Smart Buildings
  • Energy,
  • HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning)
  • Plant and Machinery Live

London Build 2016 will take place at Olympia on October 26th and 27th, 2016.  This is the ultimate events for London’s growing construction industry and will bring together the key players in the market, enabling exhibitors to take advantage of face time with existing clients and potential new business partners.

Digital Construction Week Exhibition also takes place on 26th and 27th October, 2016 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London.  This is the event’s second year and is free to attend if you register in advance.  The Paid Conference section of the exhibition will feature some of the big industry names as speakers.  The Exhibition promises a great opportunity to explore new methods of construction or the use of mobile and connected technologies.

IoT Solutions World Congress takes place from 25th to 27th October in Barcelona, Spain so this is a great opportunity to combine some valuable networking with a tour of some of Antoni Gaudi’s most famous creations.  This event is a great place for making new connections while discovering the most disruptive IoT (Internet of Things) solutions available today.

CivEx 2016 will be held at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre on November 15th and 16th, 2016.  This is a new event aimed at the UK civil engineering industry and will provide valuable business development and sales opportunities for attendees.  The Conference is free to attend and boasts 24 industry leading speakers to address the issues, legislation and key successes in recent, current and future civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

ArchitEx Exhibition & Conference 2016 will also be held on November 15th and 16th at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre, so attendance at this event can be combined with CivEx 2016 if necessary.  This Exhibition will bring together architects, developers, building designers, planning officers and suppliers to debate topical issues, explore opportunities and discuss all the latest design trends covering the latest technology, materials and products.  The Conference consists of six sessions over two days and is free to attend although space is limited so delegates should apply for their passes as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment.
